Final picture of Finished Felted Tote that I knitted.

New Finished Tote Bag

This is my first attempt at felting. It was fun to do and I am very happy with the finished project.

The pictures show the bag before felting (with the yardstick) and after.....

Cell Phone Holder

This is a photo of a cell phone holder I made . This one has been sold, but I will be making more. I will be doing another craft show at the end of this month.

It can hole an I phone, Android, Ipod or what ever you want. It can be worn around your neck , on your shoulder or cross wise on your shoulder and around the neck. I keep my phone handy that way when I walk with the dogs. I now have an I phone and it works perfectly.

Another new project

I am now making some of these little mini knitting bags. Hopefully I can sell some at a craft show I plan on doing in September. I again am having some health problems so I haven't been doing my knitting and crocheting as much as I would like to. Sometimes, I just don't feel like doing it. I do go to my knitting group as much as I can, but that is only one day a week. Here are some of the mini bags. The knitting needles are toothpicks with beads glued on the tips.

Some new things I am working on...

This is a picture from the pattern I am working. It will be my first time felting something. I am making the one on the right, different colors though. I will post a picture when I finally finish it.

My Birthday

Thursday March 24 was my 73rd birthday. My kids, son in law and grandson and I went out to dinner at the Mongoleon BarB Cue. It was wonderful. Unfortunately my other grandson could not make it as he is in the US Army stationed in Alaska. He did call me on the phone.

Baby Blanket

I am knitting this baby blanket for a friend's great grandchild due in July. I am also going to make a cap and booties to match.

Merlin's sutures

Merlin got his sutures out today and the vet said everything looks good. I am so thankful.

More Rectangles for HAP

Hap is the Handmade Afghan Project.We make 6 X 9 inch rectangles either crocheted or knitted , they are sent to a central place in Maryland where they are crocheted together as afghans and sent to our wounded veterans in Military Hospitals around the world.

Today

It is a gloomy day here today, no sun at all, it is supposed to rain later on. Don't think I will be taking my walk with the dogs . I plan on doing a lot of crocheting today and also laundry. I really enjoyed watching the Rose Parade on TV. We went to see it many years ago and I remember the sweet smell of all the flowers. It is something you never forget.
